What are these used for?

They are typically used to determine the amount of moisture still in cured concrete. Specifically, they have been designed to measure the moisture percentage in cured concrete slabs. If said slabs are going to be covered with tile, carpet, or some other type of flooring, then there’s usually a spec requirement the concrete slabs must meet. Meeting this spec helps to ensure the glue for flooring installation will dry in the appropriate time.
