Description
The Air Meter with Case and Tools provides a complete solution for measuring the air content of freshly mixed concrete. Designed to meet ASTM C231 and AASHTO T 152 specifications, this durable pressure-type air meter is ideal for field and laboratory concrete testing.
The heat-treated aluminum lid and base provide increased durability, while the lid’s smooth, sloped design allows water and concrete to roll off easily, helping reduce cleanup and maintenance. Cast-in handles make the meter easier to carry between testing locations.
The ¼ cu. ft. (0.007 m³) bowl features a machined-flat base that sits level and securely during testing. The bowl can also be used as a unit weight measure. One-piece, self-locking stainless steel clamps and an O-ring seal create a dependable, watertight connection between the lid and base.
A 4-inch (10.16 cm) stainless steel gauge provides direct percentage readings to the nearest 0.1% and includes a calibration adjustment. The all-brass pump has a longer stroke and a large, easy-to-grip knob to build pressure quickly. Its shielded design helps keep dirt and water away from the piston area. Stainless steel ball-valve petcocks feature vinyl-coated handles for a secure, comfortable grip.
The included high-impact plastic carrying case has die-cut, closed-cell foam padding to keep the air meter and accessories organized and protected during storage and transportation.

- Why do an Air Entrainment Test?
Entrained Air improves workability of the concrete, protects it from “Freeze-Thaw” cycles, helps verify water-cement ratio, and is often part of the contract specs.
- Can I get an Air Meter without the case and tools?
Yes. Call us at 303-840-1047
