Description
This hand-operated sample ejector can be used either in the lab or the field to extract asphalt or soil samples. It works as is with both 4″ and 6″ compaction molds.
In order to use it for 2″ tube/liner samples, see our California Liner Adapter (K-2314).
- What do I need a Sample Ejector for?
Once you’ve completed compacting your Proctor Mold, you use the ejector to extract the completed sample. It is weighed, the volume of your mold is previously computed, the sample is then broken up and dried in an oven. This will give you the Density and Moisture Content.
- Does this ejector do both 4” & 6” Proctor Molds?
Yes. You have to swap out the “pusher” plate and the “receiver” plate.
