Description
The Nuclear Density Drill Pin is a reliable and durable tool designed for field soil testing in compaction and density analysis. Used with nuclear density gauges, this pin ensures accurate and consistent test results by creating a precise guide hole for gauge probes. Built from high-strength, corrosion-resistant materials, it withstands demanding field conditions, making it ideal for construction quality control, geotechnical assessments, and materials testing.
- Durable and wear-resistant for long-lasting performance
- Precision-engineered for accurate and repeatable test results
- Essential for soil compaction and density measurement
Perfect for professionals in geotechnical engineering, construction, and materials testing, this field-ready drill pin enhances efficiency and accuracy in soil testing applications. Order now to optimize your testing process!
- What is a Drill Pin?
Our Drill Pin (Sometimes called a Nuke Pin) is a part of the Nuclear Density Testing process. It is pounded into the soil to make a hole for a Nuclear Density Gauge. It is guided perpendicular to the surface via the Scrape Plate, and then removed via the Drill Pin Extractor. You’re now ready for the Nuke Test.
- Will the Drill Pin bend or break?
Our Pins are mfg. as part of a Forging Process and hardened. Typically, they will not bend, but they will break. Continual use of pounding into the soil takes its toll on this brittle steel pin and it will ultimately require replacement.
