Description
The Nuclear Density Scrape Plate is an essential accessory for preparing test locations during nuclear density gauge testing of compacted soils and asphalt. Designed to create a smooth, level testing surface, this durable plate helps ensure consistent contact between the gauge and the material being tested for accurate density and moisture measurements.
In addition to leveling the test area, the scrape plate serves as a template for positioning the drill rod and accurately locating the nuclear density gauge during testing. Its rugged construction is built to withstand demanding field conditions while providing reliable performance on every job.
Ideal for geotechnical engineers, contractors, DOT inspectors, and construction materials testing laboratories, the Nuclear Density Scrape Plate helps improve testing consistency and supports compliance with ASTM D6938.
Features
- Creates a smooth, level surface for nuclear density testing
- Functions as a template for drill rod placement and gauge positioning
- Durable construction designed for demanding field environments
- Helps improve contact between the gauge and the testing surface
- Promotes accurate, repeatable density and moisture measurements
- Ideal for soil compaction and asphalt density testing
- Supports testing performed in accordance with ASTM D6938
- Why is it called a Scrape Plate?
It is used to scrape the soil flat so when you perform the Nuke Test, your Nuke Gauge sits flush with the soil surface. The vertical tubes on top allow you to hold while scraping a flat place and provides a guide for your Drill Rod.
